Second Symposium "Contemporary approaches to diagnosis and treatment of pain"

At the Second Symposium entitled "Contemporary approaches to diagnosis and treatment of pain", once again gathered, regional and domestic experts in the area of ​​diagnostics and treatment of pain.

The symposium was held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Congress Hall of Spa Slatina, and the organizers were the "Dr Miroslav Zotović" Institute and Erasmus + Program of the European Union.

In the first part of the Symposium, about a hundred participants had the opportunity to hear lectures from prim.dr sc. Mira Fingler, honorary president of HUBKB, Darko Golić,PhD,  mr Ph. Gordana Ljubojević and professor Snežana Tomašević Todorović who talked about their many years of experience in the treatment and pain therapy.

After the break his contribution to the Symposium as well gave Ivan Radoš, MD from the Institute for Pain Management at the Clinical Hospital Center in Osijek which presented the work of the Institute and their experiences in this field.

Team from "Dr Miroslav Zotović" Institute and UKC RS Banja Luka, include Tatjana Bućma, PhD, Ostoja Savić, MD MSc,  Tatjana Boškić, MD, Lena Topić Arambašić, psychologist, and Ana Grubišić, social worker. They spoke about the experiences and results of the installation of the SCS system in the treatment of chronic pain.

The conclusion of the Symposium is that this is one of the topics of the future that should be given more attention in order to improve the quality of life of patients.



Symposium on rheumatoid arthritis 

On April 5 and 6, 2019, the Symposium titled "Improving the quality of life of patients with rheumatoid arthritis" was held in the Spa complex of Spa Slatina.

Lectures were held by the President of the Association of rheumatologists of the Republic of Srpska Nenad Prodanović, PhD, Dean of the Medical Faculty in Banja Luka Ranko Škrbić,  PhD, Tatjana Nožica Radulović, PhD - spcialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as residents in rheumatology from UKC RS.

This Symposium was organized by the Association of Rheumatologists of the Republic of Srpska and the Association of Physiatrists of the Republic of Srpska, supported by the Bosnian League against Rheumatism, the Medical Faculty Banja Luka, the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska and the Institute for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović".

Basic considerations, controversies, contemporary attitudes and innovations

We are honored and pleased to invite you to the Symposium "Surgical treatment of injuries and diseases of the peripheral nervous system - Basic Considerations, Controversies, Contemporary Attitudes and Innovations" that will be held at the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović" in Banja Luka in the period from 07-09. The Symposium is organized by the Department for Neurorehabilitation of the Institute for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović" Banja Luka and Department of Peripheral Nervous Diseases and Injuries, Functional Neurosurgery and Pain Surgery of the Clinic for Neurosurgery of the Clinical Center of Serbia in cooperation with the Association of Physiatrists of the Republic of Srpska and the Association of Neurosurgeons Serbia.

This is a unique opportunity to hear in one place the exchange of facts from the field of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and diseases of the peripheral nervous system. The lecturers are experts in the field of neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, radiology, neurology and physical medicine and rehabilitation of the peripheral nervous system from the country and the region.

Meeting between Association of Physiatrists of RS and the HIF RS

On 23 March 2018, Association of Physiatrists of the Republic of Srpska and representatives of the Health Insurance Fund of Republika Srpska, led by Director Dejan Kusturic, held a meeting in the Blue Room of the HIF RS in Banja Luka.

The main topic of the meeting were the dilemmas and questions about the way of referring to the extended medical rehabilitation determined by the new HIF RS Rule book, which will be in power on April 1, 2018.

President of AP RS, prof. dr Tatjana Bućma, after a complimentary speech and thanks to colleagues who came to the meeting as well as representatives of the HIF RS, gave the word to the director of the HIF RS, Mr. Kusturić, who joined the greetings and emphasized the basic goals of the Rule book.

This is the first time that the Fund's director has agreed to hold such a meeting with the professionals in order to reach the final solution and better understanding between these professions.

Conference on multiple sclerosis

"Diagnosis, Treatment and Rehabilitation of Multiple Sclerosis Patients" is the name of an expert meeting organized by the Association of Physiatrists of Republic of Srpska and the Institute for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation "Dr Miroslav Zotović" on Friday 15 September 2017.
The lectures were held by Prof. Jasna Jančić, neuropsychiatrist  (Clinic for Neurology and Psychiatry for Children and Youth, Belgrade), Sanja Grgić, neurologist (UKC Banjaluka) and Siniša Marković, Physiatrist (SB Mlječanica).
This expert meeting is the first in a series of different thematic lectures that will be organized by the Association of Physiatrists of Republic of Srpska and the Institute "Dr Miroslav Zotović" in the forthcoming period.

APRS representatives at the ESPRM General Assembly in Bratislava

From September 6-9 2017, in Bratislava, the General Assembly of ESPRM and PRM Sections and Board meetings were held at UEMS.
The representative of UFRS in PRM Board prof. Gordana Stefanovski and national delegate of UFRS at the ESPRM Assembly, Dragana Dragičevi-Cvjetković  participated actively at this gathering.
The ESPRM Assembly meeting focused at the ESPRM's special committee of interest established within ESPRM, the final version of the White Book, as well as the opportunities for education and training of our spacijalists and specialists in the programs of the European Association.
